How to Measure your Dog for a Muzzle
The best dog muzzles fit perfectly so please take your time measuring your dog before placing an order. We can exchange basket sizes as long as the muzzle is only tried on and in as new condition. If strap size or colour needs to change there will be an additional charge to cover the new strapping and shipping back to you.
We strongly recommend watching these how-to measure videos and downloading this handy .pdf with videos.

Muzzle Movement Approved Muzzle Fitters and Trainers
Muzzle Movement approved muzzle fitters and trainers are available should you wish to have the additional reassurance of a fitting for your dog's muzzle. The fitters and trainers are independent of Delta Canine. Some may charge a fee which is payable directly to the fitter. Delta Canine does not receive any funds from fees if charged. The added advantage of a fitting is many of the fitters are trainers so can assist with muzzle and/or behaviour training if required. We will be adding to this list as approved fitters are arranged.

Measuring Length
Measure from the waterline to the tip of the nose.

Why Length Matters
Too Short: The nose presses against the end of the muzzle.
Too Long: The muzzle pushes into the eyes when sniffing the ground.
Measuring Height
Measure from in front of the eyes, straight down to the bottom of the jowl with the mouth shut. The measuring table below will then tell you how much pant room to add. If you are using the online calculator don't worry about pant room — we'll add that for you.

Why Height Matters
Panting Space: Ensures the muzzle provides enough room below the jaw for your dog to pant fully. Panting is crucial for dogs to regulate their body temperature.
Measuring Width
Measure the widest point of face, outside of cheek.

Why Width Matters
Too Wide: If the muzzle is too wide, it may wobble as your dog moves, causing discomfort.
Too Narrow: If the muzzle is too narrow, it may pinch the cheeks, leading to irritation or discomfort.
